Reviews
Funny and then some. Officer Cooper (Reese Witherspoon) goes from filing evidence to protecting a key witness, Daniella Riva (Sofía Vergara) from a drug dealer and the police. Clearly they play well off each other. Their antics fuel the comedy alongside some shoot- outs and skullduggery. Their hostility to each other is extremely well played along with their camaraderie. It all moves along quite well and there are a number of twists and turns. The villain and cops are played well and there is also a parolee they run into but not knowing who's good and who's bad gives a lot of tension. It's their antics and disagreements that give it its comedy along with the way they handle themselves, sometimes quite ineptly. All in all a feel good movie.
