Reviews
My review title sums it up. If you have a high IQ you will want to walk out of this film. As you intellect drops, this movie gets better because you do not notice the flaws. I would have enjoyed this movie back in high school, but as an adult I walked out and asked for a refund because I was bored out of my mind. I really did not mind the acting and thought all the actors were adequate but the problem is that the movie has bad direction. For example, the comedy aspects did not connect and the cons were very poorly chosen as nothing I saw in the movie could ever work in reality. That said, this would be OK if this were a show about magic or fairies but this is where the problem begins. The movie takes itself very seriously and they want the audience to believe that these cons are possible ... well I am sorry, but Santa is not real nor are any of the cons. They try to make them more plausible with deep explanation that go into human psychology and behavior (and stupid stuff like human programming lol) but the problem is that if you actually studied any of these things scientifically then you already know that they are not true. So basically, its a matter of what you know. If you did not research this stuff at some point in your life, you might believe it and the movie might be OK for you. Hence, enjoyment is inversely proportional to intellect. The more you study and research and learn, the stupider this movie becomes. Its no different than a sci-fi movie that gets all the science wrong and wonders why it failed to capture that audience. Well duh!
